I did read an article about sanding the led, but am curious if slipping one of these rubber socks on will achieve similar results without the possibility of damaging the led...
Has anybody tried these to possibly get rid of or at least lessen the "hot spots" on the meter lamps by diffusing the light more effectively(see pic)? I just ordered some to give a shot.I read somewhere that someone sanded the lamps and thought these may achieve the same results.
You will need to wait for the experts to chime in for the answer to that question-of course if you are able to do things yourself it will be a bit cheaper.
If they are cosmetically excellent and electrically fine I would say yes. I would also say they WILL need some money thrown at them to make them reliable so factor that in...Rich
