Welcome aboard. I have a X1000 myself. Good units , hope you can get your other unit working again. Sorry to hear about your loss , the original pressings are usually the better sounding versions. I have been disappointed with some of the reissues being put out now.

Those black versions were nice. I have had both versions of the Pioneer 1250's when I was in Berlin. I believe Marantz also offerd that option.

Anybody have experience with Audioengine products ? See they have a B1 listed that will do what I want . Not cheap but I don't mind paying for quality .

Been doing a little research on BT to analog. See the Auris MD mentioned a few times. A $50 Logitech looks like it might work but the Auris while more expensive ($100-150) seems to be a good unit also. Anybody have any dealings with Auris products ?

Thats what got me into computers in the first place. Friend showed me what he could do to old photos in Photoshop. Been hooked ever since,still play around with restoring B&W Polaroids. Went against the stream there too,I work in PNG.:)

Yup , thats what I am researching now. Digital formats can be frustrating at times because of incompatibility issues. Learned that lesson the hard way when I chose FLAC as my choice of music formats.

No digital out. Only has a USB for storage and 3 HDMI ports. And they are all in use. Cable box ,Bluray and X Box. Two different versions of ARC that are not compatible. :( It does audio out through Bluetooth only .

Was reading the manuals for that unit and my TV. Unfortunately they are not compatible. I will look at Bluetooth to Analog RCA adapters. I hate trying to mix old and new.

The last TV we had I used the RCA audio out to the receiver for watching in stereo that sounded good. My new TV does not have any analog outs , just HDMI and USB . Seen adapters available but they seem to be primarily for video. I assume the HDMI audio is in digital form so I would need to...

Well , it was a long and hard road for me but I got it done. Took the General test last night. Missed passing by one , was offered a retake. YAA,I passed .
