I recently had one of my PL400 series 2 amps start to make a very audible hissing from only one channel. It starts a few minutes after I powe it up. The input sensitivity has no effect on level and it will make this noise even with no input signal connected. Thoughts?

system is coming along. Still have a couple of 400 series 2s and a Sony PSX=60 turntable that are getting repaired and updated. Still need a face plate that the 700 series 2 if anyone has one.

I have done the power supply cap upgrade, added speaker protection relays, and upgraded the outputs in three of the four 400s. Will do the last one soon.

dammit! Now I am wanting to upgrade all of my amps to those LED diplays!! hahaha.

Do you also have the black knobs to go with your black faceplate? I also see that your level meters display differently. Are those also White Oak replacements?

That's not a terrible idea. Considered it bit then I would have to do the rest of my PL to match and that would get expensive. :)

I have a set of handles and yes the meter is a bit odd. It will work perfectly after it warms up. Thanks

I have a 700 series 2 that someone has brused the faceplate so it's no longer champaign colored. Does anyone have the inner and outer faceplate to make it look original

thanks. I will ask my technician if they are are good. He may just be wanting to replace everything to make sure its all up to date.

anyone got any suggestions on replacements for the RC410 predrivers? I have heard that they, the SJ2741, and 66546 have all been discontinued. surely there is a comperable replacement if not a better part? thanks for your input.
