New-Agey folks think the ancients floated huge blocks of stone with sound: "It's all vibration, man!"

How Edward Leedskalnin built Coral Castle is still (mostly) unknown, but sound is suspect.

One of the most awesome sound systems I ever heard was at 'The Paradise Garage' in NYC, a private black club (I was only one of a handful of white folk there every time I went). No alcohol was served and it was just starting to Pop at 2am, you never knew who the mystery performer would be at around 4am, could be Diana Ross, Rick James or Madonna :glasses8:.

The DJ Larry Levan was a God, he could spin 4 Technics rigs at once, The floor was surrounded by stacks of 15"JBL woofers to the ceiling, with horn midrange and tweeters suspended over your head. Your clothes literally moved with the beat from those massive JBL's. There were hundreds of McIntosh stereo and monobloc amps, I'm getting sweaty just thinking about it :happy7:  :rabbit:
