I was searching for this one a LONG time, and today I picked it up for a very reasonable price:

This version in silver finish is very, very hard to find, and completely NEW!

So.....

Hey Miles, nice acquisition! :glasses8:

Ever notice how the displays on Sony decks never seem to fade one iota?

Miles: Congratulations on acquiring your newest Sony cassette deck. With some decks silver and champagne finishes are the hardest to find. I expect it will be on par to the same performance as your other Sonys.

Very nice deck.

I was pondering the fact about more than one head and then I realized that technically I must have two. What in the world would one do with three? It's tough enough getting the right information from two - but one more? Oh my! :-o

No wonder you needed the silver-faced Sony. A classic shot there, Miles. I hadn't realized you even have the dust cover for your Revox - a very nice accessory.

Very nice indeed, Nando... I believe I still have some B-77 dust covers here if my wife haven't disposed them. Use to have 5 of those machines, including 1 PR-99 MK II. Then I moved to Otari and finally Technics. When I closed my Mastering business in 2002, I used my Studer A-80 1/2" in my living room for a while. Now it is in a studio in New York. I want to try a Crown because I do have over 150 10.5 reels of music here...oe of these days I guess...

I think this silver-faced QS line up won't bite the ReVoX....
Still VERY happy with this third one. It performs as expected.

Hey Miles, another nice new deck. Looks good with all the other silver gear.

Wanted to ask you though where did you get those stands that you keep all your gear in? Did they come with the glass doors or is that something you added to them?

Those are Akai Cubes, and they came with the glass doors.

I have several of them, but they're all heavily modified to my needs.

Very nice decks, El Magnifico. The professional R2Rs do catch my fancy. And you have no shortage of them!

Miles: Those Akai cubes are very neat. Obviously, they are stackable. Did you end up pinning them together to create a tall rack? Ideas abound when you see someone has already done it.

All the elements I have are separate and with wheels, which makes it much easier to change the components.
