Line Array Concept

Larrt, what was that Rosewood pair you found going for??

What veneer

Lee...what different veneer choices would there be in the 20/21 cabinets? I am VERY interested in them....if we can figure out the shipping..

If you have any contacts, my zip is 24293 in Wise (not WEST) VIGINIA.........I did that for Kevin. See what your shipping people say, and I'll check n my end...2 (TWO) palets at 400 b each? No stacking ? I'm not sure what they will ask.

I love that wild looking veneer..

They'll have to be lay down Sutton. 7'6" tall with only a 28" square base is a recipe for disaster stood up.

Larrt, I talked to Mark today he was gonna dig the paperwork out and figure out what I wound up with..

How is he doing? PS you will probably have to crate them.

He says he and Lynn are doing well. They are crated, but in my opinion not well enough to turn loose on the shipping industry...

Here you go. A comment on the CBT idea from an actual line array designer.

Perhaps my concerns are unwarranted. See Post 7

Rick Craig is co-designer of the Linus arrays, and has worked closely with D.B. Keen on the CBT.. Short on details, as Rick always is, since he's commercial, and designs one-offs, but it suggests that he thinks it could work.

This is the original tweeter maker. http://www.parts-express.com/hivi-rt2h-a-planar-isodynamic-tweeter--297-407

I hate to disagree, but...

You are correct about the first part. HiVi tweeters were used although not the tweeter you linked.

But, Rick Craig and Jim Griffin designed the Linus array. I am quite certain of this.

I own a pair and got original documentation directly from Jim.

Maybe we're confused here. wasn't Danny Ritchie involved with the Epiphany's??

You may be right.

I was talking about the Linus that the OP currently owns. If he's happy with Rick's work...

No idea about the Epiphany.

Lee, have you considered a position with the state department? :-)

Zach, I'm a supervisor my day job, and my first question to myself every day is " Could I work for me?"

The Epiphany's are line array. Did some one patent the design>

I think I may see the source of the confusion- The "Linus Array" is a specific design of line array. I have no clue what it has to do with Charlie Brown.

As far as I'm aware the general idea is pretty old, and there are no patents, but I could be wrong on this.

Jim Griffin is generally credited as being the first to bring the existing works on the subject together in a single, cohesive paper.
