Got it out of the box now, Ron! Yeah, she's a looker....

This one is going to get the WORKS - backplanes ... driver board... DCP.... converted to FC.. and totally rewired. Waiting for a few packages to begin, but probably tomorrow start the teardown...

Awesome! How did the AK cat pack it? Have to leave him some feeback once you take the cover off. If you save the original parts that are getting replaced for me, that would be awesome. Maybe that stock driver board can be fixed at some point? I guess you will know pretty easily what popped in it

You'd laugh if I told you but I would like to try learning how to do this repair stuff. I figured the board would be a good introduction and you never know if I come across another 400 missing the control board like Blackie. I will be geitting a digital fluke meter and comb the fleamarket this year for testing equipment. I have seen variacs, ocilloscopes and everything else at our local one

Tradition goes that we look at the backwall to see who built it and go from there. But it's your's and you can do what you want.

Very fine specimen!

Got it opened up... A little bit of rework here and there, but very VERY clean inside....

Yo Ron... did ya want Joe's light board or still "stock"? How about if one or more of the bulbs are burnt / the LED's last long time!

Opps - I thought that was an aspirin I took. Those cap logos are doing something strange. :happy7:

The light board is really nice and the latest revision adds some great features. I think I'd go with a new one. The incandescent lamps heat up the plastic causing it to become brittle so the LEDs make good sense.
