No sweat, on a Saturday too. we'll go down Friday and scout things out.

Our plan right now is to camp at the near by campgrounds.

There is a show on Friday night also in Boulder, Lee. It's a DJ show but with most of the Twisted crew there. Not sure yet if we'll be attending that.

Be glad to give ya'll direction to Red Rocks. Spent a lot of time at that place for shows and even more just hiking around with the dogs. May have to try and make this show if a couple of the PACers are going to be there :toothy10:.

Campground closest to Red Rocks would be Chief Hosa or Chatfield State Park:

Hosa is West of venue, Chatfield is South. Both places fill up quickly so I would reserve those spots soon.

Hope this helps.

Red Rocks is an awesome venue. Enjoy the show! If I still lived in northern CO, I'd be going..
Hey BlazeES, Where in Northern Colorado were you holed up? I agree that RR is a cool place to see a show. Pray the wind isn't blowing too hard though, otherwise acoustics can get "interesting".

Just outside of Boulder Nick.
Hated the wind.
The snow was no biggie 'cept for those once in a blue-moon heavy wet packs.
Temps weren't bad either; it was a dry cold. LOL
Heaving soil is a royal PITA though! And watering the grass to keep it green during the summer months was an exercise in futility.
Lived in NorCO for seven years.
But never got used to those Chinooks coming down off the Rockies..

Wind sucks to say the least but the winters are pretty mild! Never water my lawn as it would cost me $300- 400/ month to keep it green if the bugs didn't eat it all and kill it anyway. I save the water for the gardens.

I spend a lot of time outside of Boulder myself in Lyons, mostly playing pinball.

Pinball in Lyons? Where? Oskar Blues? Oh wait. Classic, am I right? So you're a pinball wizard are you? :p
Play at both when I am up there. The owners of Lyons Classic Pinball and Lyons Classic Video @ OB are some of my closest friends. I actually spend more time workin on them than playing. I leave the playing to folks more skilled than I.

A very good friend of mine lives in Lyons. I think they are just now getting back into their home after the flooding.

He sings and plays guitar in a pretty successful Blue Grass band, The Blue Canyon Boys. Check them out sometime if you dig good Blue Grass music.

Thanks for the head's up regarding the Blue Canyon Boys, Rex. Big fan of blue/ jam grass. Remeber seeing Yonder Mountain String Band in Nederland when there may have been 10 people watchin'.

The flooding was absolutely horrible. The arcade miraculously sustained no damage at all while shops 200 ft away were not so lucky. Friends live on a hill and their house was untouched with the exception of a little hail damage to the roof.

No problem. I know Jason from back in MO. He and other friends played in a jam band back in the mid to late 90's. They "practiced" twice a week in my basement for many years. When everyone started getting jobs and getting married and going our separate ways he ended up in Lyons and ended up doing the Blue Canyon Boys deal. I think they have three cd's out now. They are on face book as well.
