Right now, I'm listening to Wimme (pronounced "Vee-may") and his backup band Rinne Radio, off my hard drive. The MX-1 is behaving itself, and I'm still using the Mission 70's - I really like them better than the Klipsch Heresys. The Heresys are going back into the system real soon, as a fellow wants to come over, listen to them, and maybe buy them.

Mission made some really good loudspeakers.

Although not being used at present, I still have a pair of 760s from around 20 years ago. Considering their modest cost (and size), they are pretty impressive.

Yep, those Missions weren't bad.
I tossed some Mission speakers of the same age and generation some weeks ago, the foamrings of the speakers were completely disintegrated after all those years of storing them....
So check the foamrings I've marked with the red arrow in the picture below:

I do try and check them regularly but I'll make a point of looking again before the end of the year. Might even fire them up and see how they are sounding these days.

The only negatives with the 760s that I have are those bloody spring-clip terminals which I detest!

I thought Mission, and most British speaker makers, used butyl surrounds, but what do I know? I only hope you saved the tweeters...

I've totally lost the plot....
jeez guys, don't go chucking stuff out just because of rotted 'FOAM' surrounds. (yes, the rubber/butyl etc ones last forever...)
replacement surround kits are aplenty on that 'Bay place, and very easy to instal, with just a bit of patience and some common sense.

And after using my common sense I will pile up the stuff and build a Temple of Doom of it....
