Church hymns. A friend at work wanted to see whether I could transfer his parents' 7" record onto CD. So, I first recorded to MiniDisc to get rid of some of the static and liven up the songs with my eq and dbx 3BX. Now, I will patch in my Pioneer Elite CD recorder to record onto CD from the Sony MD deck. It's the first CD recording I have attempted since getting the Pioneer.

Nando.

I'm the Red Knight, by grant of the Black
I actually got around to putting the new tuner into the make-do/pre-move system. Got to listen to Big Band, Blues, and finally, Classical. FM Stereo is still hissy, so some antenna fiddling will be called for.

Spent some time this weekend ripping individual songs off all my soul/r&b/funk records. Only one song per-artist is my rule so far. This is a longer term project and I want to clean up some of the clicks and pops a bit and then make up a mix tape of my favorite 90 minutes or so. So far have about 2 and a half hours of stuff ripped without cleanup. Have the songs playing on random, right now, The Dramatics: In the Rain.

Thanks nobody!

Just finished up listening to one of nobody's mixes- Welcome to My Garage. Another top notch tape with great tunes, good oxide and off a nice deck(Nak RX 505, yes?).

Great way to start my day off! Cheers, my man and keep up the stellar work.

Definitely plan on offering up copies once I get something together. Just lots of decisions to make. I got way more of this stuff than I realized. Was just kind of grabbing albums and suddenly realized I already have more than enough burned for a tape, but still other stuff I want on there. Gonna decide if I wanna slice it all down or just make up a double.

And glad you're enjoying that mix up there.
