I have a Nikko FAM-450. Scotts are really nice but the tubed models are always spendy for me...:( They're generally worth it though.
 
That's a stout set and not only that you can adjust the bandwidth and frequency rance of the AM section to get the entire expanded AM band and some really nice response! I loved mine. I may have liked the 2000A even more, that was for the solid tuning as well.

(No, that is a TRUE story...it was on the news a couple days ago, only this poor soul had died of cancer)

Now, there really ARE more than enough sick folks out there doing bizarre stunts like never cremating the requested cremations and pocketing the difference but there's a family still waiting to hear why their lasting memories of honoring a loved one were destroyed. It makes you wonder while you shake your head in disdain and resignation.

Now, I came to figure out where Larry's stuff is at in this thread...
 
I said "Power Hungry" A little A300 power amp pushing 10 watts would work for me. Steven what do you want. I have a tube phono amp board sitting here. I also have a spare board for a battery powered phono. Battery not included.
 
What kind of wattage do you need to have to be in the "power insane" club? I miss my 1600 watts. :sad8: Running only half that leaves a lot to be desired.

Do you still have the Creek? I don't want to insult you by low-balling, so tell me what you'd like for it REASONABLY. I have a deep-set yen for British gear. Oh, how many watts, not too many I hope, for it would be powering Klipsch Heresies, and I don't want to be branded as power mad.
 
The Creek is 85 watts if I remember right. Would be around 10.00 a watt. They are going for 800.00 if you can find them. I have work to do in there today. So I will see if I can bring myself to sell it. It was part of my 1st buy from Music Hall when I started my store.

My two favorite receivers were 15 watts TOPS. HK 330B and Pioneer SX-525.
