The tuna eyes remind me of a pixies album cover.

the duck eggs are f'n nasty. I'd rather eat my own hand, cut off and cooked.

I've eaten the 1000 year old eggs, the sashimi, the cockscomb and the Durian many times in Asia. The other stuff I have not ventured into yet. They left off the chicken feet and the ducks bill which is quite common on the menu over there.

Don't look, Ethel!

Well, hell NO? All I have left is cereal, canned beans, burger and frozen peas...and I have to take my insulin and eat.

I've been looking for whirled peas but they don't can that anymore.

(Or to be exact, it was 'canned' in the garden of Eden, wasn't it?)

How were the eggs? I've heard of these before and wondered if they were palatable. Sashimi I like but most of the other stuff would take a few stiff drinks prior to eating. How 'bout them tarantulas?

The eggs are pretty common in china and taste like hard boiled eggs. The appearance is worse than they taste.

Surprised they did not mention stinky tofu in this article. They sell it on the streets in Hong Kong. It is fermented bean curd, smells like an open sewer, almost knocks you over. It is kind of like Limburger cheese on steroids. The locals love it. It has a mild taste that does not match the smell.

Never came across the tarantulas (yet)

THIS is what to do with eggs *Eggbeaters, at least:

1 can drained and rinsed black beans
diced tomatoes (canned is fine)
diced red onion
sliced olives, if you wish
one quarter-pound hamburger patty, cooked and sectioned
garlic powder
chili powder/seasoning
nonfat milk powder

Pour some Eggbeaters or equivalent into a pyrex pie pan. Add a smidge of nonfat powdered milk mix. Only fill about halfway to allow for the other ingredients which you add in to fill at least 2/3 full and stir the egg/milk powder mixture they stir in the rest.

Microwave until firm, around 18 minutes at least depending on your oven. You can add bell pepper of various varieties or whatever else but it didn't need any cheese, it was good without.

Over half of that came from a foodbank, which only goes to show that being broke is not a sentence to eating cereal for dinner.

The photos of the eggs don't make them look very appetizing but they sound like they must be good.

The tarantula's article originates from Cambodia. It seems like the cook uses some good seasoning. I still think a few drinks would be in order before the first taste.
