Ah, the same dilema I'm having trying different tweets in the K's. I would really like to try a Heil Air Motion Transformer. I heard one years ago and thought that was the ultimate tweet besides the plasmas.
If you had told me this earlier this year I could have pointed you to the local auction when they had Tempest Classics!?!

I think so Lee...the Dodge came up first on the picture search :)

I think the Pontiac was a Bonneville little brother.

Catalina was the lesser Bonneville, Tempest was the un-muscle version of the GTO.

I just ordered a new set of 901's in walnut with the stands. Now that I have a decent room I should be able to get the most out of them. My wife is totally fine with it, but reminded me that I need to get her some furnature in the spring =)

I'm excited! I haven't bought a NEW pair of speakers since '96. I've had and heard quite a few things since then though. These should work well with the Pioneer SX-1280 I would think.

Joe: Wow, new 901s! What series are they up to now? Good thing you went with the stands. The retro look would have been macramé hangers attached to the roof. I hope the Pioneer will have the oats to properly drive them.

Here is one that Nav could love (resolution is poor)...

That was my first car, a '64 GTO, M22 rockcrusher, built to the snot 454 Chevy, Hooker headers and Crager SS rims. My Dad and Uncle put a lot of work into it. It was an ex drag car so a lot on it was not stock. They even tied the frame altogether. I remember we blew the rear tires it the first time we took it out after it was done. It was almost a 100 degrees that day and my Dad popped the button for the line lock... rear end squatted and dug in on the fresh blacktop. The hubs turned in the tires and blew the beads LOL

Mine was the same color, I miss that car. I ended up trading it for a '71 440 Challenger and later sold that to get out of debt. This was MANY years ago when muscle cars were a dime a dozen and dirt cheap, around 1982
