Cretu knows how to produce an album... All the Enigma albums are sounding superb, even the last Sandra album was a great production as it comes to soundquality.
You're right, his style is unique and elegant,,, Sandra is infact his creation when you think the huge step she makes from that ''Arabesque'' thing...

I do have the whole Sandra collection and indeed it has some of the best soundings out there :p

Seems I have no one on my side who appreciates the ultimate in mellowness, smoothness, and boyish energy that Michael Bublé brings to the stage. My dream concert would be having Michael B., Celine Dion, and Justin Bieber rocking out some smashing pop tunes on stage with a backdrop of maple leafs, Canadian beer cases and majestic vistas.

When can I expect the taxi?

You need a doctor.

It will be a race between the ambulance and the taxi.

Lift-lock

I have been sorting through all my compact discs these last few months with a view to streamlining my collection.

I have rediscovered some gems in the process. Quite a few have been discarded and as a result I have replenished my stock of these quite brilliant (and familiar) cases. There was no way these were being sold off or freecycled!

Well, this looks very nice! Never seen before.
The structure of the black plastic holder reminds me of the older TDK tapes from the early eighties.

Daren: Are those CD jewel cases from a particular vintage or was there any association to a particular label as in music producer? Seems an oddity, as I don't have a single one of that particular CD jewel case. I'm going to take a guess that with the advent of CDs in the 80's it might be something of that vintage, or early 90's.

Nando,

The lift-lock cases are mostly associated with MFSL.

I bought mine circa 1990 when HMV used to sell them. They are so much better than standard jewel cases.
Thanks for the historical pointer, Daren. They seem to be quite expensive to get NOS, nowadays.

To be honest, now that a lot of titles are coming in the mini lp jackets, im starting to dislike the plastic cases altogether.
As much as I like the paper jackets, the CDs are sometimes so tightly packed in the fold I worry about scratching the play surface. The coolest use of CD jackets were the "Beatles in Mono" box set compilation of 2009. I'm not much into box sets, but that one was one I hinted to Geri for a Christmas present.

I agree some of the paper only sleeves are much too tight. I do like the ones with the plastic tray glued into the paperback jacket. Those suffer from the same issues that these lift/lock cases prevent, teeth breaking off the center spindle.

I have not seen this beatles set you speak of Nando.

I hate all Digipaks.

They are not robust enough and the spines fade in moderate sunlight.

I can post pictures of the box set, later, Ben.

Daren: I haven't noticed fading yet of the spines, but a bulk of my CDs are stored in a wooden furniture stand, out of direct sunlight. And the rest of my overflow of CDs are in zippered CD storage cases.
