Wanting some opinions on getting a decent cassette deck for recording. What are your recommendations? Trying to stay within a couple hundred. Something thats not too complicated but will allow me to learn before I take a step up. Been looking at a Nakamichi LX5.

You won't go wrong with an LX-5 - if you can get a properly operating one in the $200-$300 range.

Try and get something that has been serviced OR can easily be serviced either by yourself or somebody qualified.

A two header from Yamaha would be my suggestion (unless you can pick up that Nak for a good price).

Oh yes, i'll vote for that, my KX-330 simply rocks all the way and it has amorphous head which is very good. Anyway no matter the deck i buy i'm looking for sellers being original owner and if possible to be little used and well kept, some flippers are selling all kind of crap for much more money than it's worth.

I really dont know what would be the best starter deck. I have found a serviced LX5 for 250, theres another on ebay for 150. Is the B300 a better deck. I would prefer to get one from someone here.
