what are you listening to?

Countdown to Extinction is one of the best Megadeth albums out there.

Rod Stewart - Never a dull Moment LP
Deep Purple - Self Titled LP

A very good subject for a debate. Peace sells, and Rust In Peace stand pretty high in my books. Extinction is sweet though.

Comes down to a matter of personal opinion. Extinction reminds me of my high school years, listening to that album whilst riding on the train to school, cassette of course. It was a BASF Chrome Extra 100, still have it and plays well.

swapping in a newly rebuilt Mcintosh tube amp in place of the 2205 - holy -- smokes not a subtle improvement in depth and dimension; plays nice with my gear and the source material so far...

Improved soundstage?? Pretty neat stuff there SLF. Not frigging cheap either, I suspect...

thanks no cost...yet. It's on loan from a friend who is letting me use it instead of sitting in his closet until he gets around to putting it on ebay. I might have to dangle some trade bait in front of him. I'm mainly using it with a pair of Altec Valencias, but it also sounds really nice in the main system with the JBL monitors. Yes, a huge and palpable soundstage with the right material.

Palpable, I like that adjective. To keep it in your possession need to find something he can't live without...

Very Impressive SLF, if only I could drop in for a listen, I'd have trouble leaving :toothy10:
