Actually, Ben, I made a cassette copy of my full 2002 Christmas CD on c.1992 TDK D90 that sounds absolutely AWESOME after 10+ years and that is why I am using it on my classic country mixtape exclusively and want more.

You simply wouldn't BELIEVE IT...listening last night was one of those golden moments.

See "Bolero" on the tracklist? They were almost sued for including that and the album was quickly edited removing it. The Bomber on 99% of copies is only 5:30ish in length, not over 7:04

The folks here have a vast knowledge of electronics that helps me, the least I can do is offer my humble knowledge of lps in return. Admittingly, most of what is discussed here ellicits a blank stare on my part :toothy10:. I know how to hook up a system and crank the volume, that's about the extent of my knowledge in electronics

Here's another good one you may want to check out, indie pressing 2lp box set from a couple days of live shows in Hartford back in 1982 that Max Creek did. This is not a bootleg either. I dig The Dead a lot but this lp BLOWS AWAY any Dead album I own. The sound quality is on par with the Arista press of Dead Set. This is a fun listen, you can't help but walk around with a smile on your face while listening

It's nice to see contributions like yours, as there are so many bands that really didn't get the exposure on FM radio. I now find myself going back in time by looking for older stuff from the 70's. My preferred format is vinyl, and not re-releases of originals. Keep the good stuff coming.

Here's another obscurity, some serious heavy jamming space prog/psyche with Xian insights. Like a cross between Yes and Hawkwind. This will send you back around $100 if you can find a mint copy. I do believe you can get a CD reissue of it. Sorry about the old images, I have several Photobucket and Imgur accounts to document my collection of lps which currently stands at 15,000 for insurance purposes. Anyway, I don't have any soundclick files of it but I found the whole lp downloaded on Youtube. If you have a 1/2hr of spare time, kick back and dig

Listening to KLF: The Chill Out, recorded from CD to a Sony CD-IT 90 with its lovely blue shell. Easily, one of my all-time favorite ambient albums. The recording turned out really good too, although I have a new deck that generally records even better than the one I used when I made this so I still think just maybe I should redo it sometime. But then my general attitude of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" seems to keep me on track.

We have a number of ambient fans here. Shpongle and Younger Brother are just a few bands I and a few others enjoy. Which cassette deck are you running currently?
