David's Phase Linear 700B Thread

Anybody can rate any thread for anything. But if I don't like it you will be wiped from the face of the earth and all things associated with you.....

I once had 3-700 Ser I's, 4-700B's, and 16- 400's....

Good grief, Charlie Brown... :toothy10: You know.. I saw another 400 in the ballpark, and I ALMOST went for it.... almost..

I need more speakers... more BIG speakers... first. And some more SQ footage up here, which is the most difficult obstacle.. lol!

Daaaaaaamn. Well I guess I better stay in the green then? :confused2: It's probably five star for the stellar Joe/Lee/Jerry trifecta troubleshooting discussion on the 700B. That combo right there is a slam dunk!

Hey; I JUST noticed this, but how is it my thread has a 5-star rating? I don't even remember putting a vote out for that myself? It's the only topic in this thread I see with one? Kudos to whoever did that tho?

Dave, a thread that lasts more than 2 or more pages worth of ON TOPIC posts without getting hijacked to show some awesome avatar models from Dennis automatically gets 5 stars :-)

A thread that immediately gets hijacked to show some awesome avatar models from Dennis automatically gets 8 stars before getting moved to the cave!!

Bwaa haaa!!! I knew it! I clicked on the thread to investigate and I saw a section where it lists all the pics that have been shared in the thread. I saw .jpeg this and .jpeg that.... Then I saw "Victoria's secret......" Well, i suspected it got rated for that. Lol! Now that I know the how the system works........ less stars would be a GOOD thing? Lest I get banished over to "the cave"? :confused2:

Just giggin ya Lad, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain....

Hey.....check Jerr's post? He wasn't so sure for a moment either? Let me know in advance if there is another Lee who lives on the dark side of the moon. Just so I am prepared? ..........:confused3:

And if I am still considered a "lad" nearing my 40's; well then hot diggity! Unfortunately, that Still won't explain away my grey hairs though......

We're getting there Dave! Right side reconfigured and repopulated. Need to hit it all with a brush and some iso, which I'll do in the next day or so. Left to do.. replace those components on the WO board, DCP wire in, few things with the BR, and then might be ready to apply power...

Jerr, by a "few things with the bridge rectifier", do you mean my bad terminal job? Or a mis-wire, or improper capacitor placement? I sadly did not have a solder station OR rosin core solder. Ugh......just lead free. I fixed that however AFTER the fact. Spent hundreds on proper supplies when I was getting around to the RCA's. Thanks for rectifying my....rectifier! Lol!! (No Nav. No rectum jokes. Stopping this one at the pass before it starts......) :confused2:

Good Luck with that Dave, no one has been able to stop im yet....

True Lee. But at least he WAS nice enough, not to ruin the 5 star rating by taking your quote over to the cave, instead of hijacking this thread. Although.....now that my name has been seen in the cave, it looks like I am guilty by association. (Due to "Lee the enabler"). Greeeeeat..... :confused2: Lol!:laughing9:

Ok so no rectum jokes here or else - but it is better if you have lead in your pencil!:confused2:

Coming along. Should be singing in a day or so... Need to do some wire-work, get the new bias Q's situated, swap out the whacked components on the WO board, and do a few rounds of tidying and strapping...
