Damn Derek - snapping a shot of a pussies backside and posting it here might get you thrown in the cave. George and I have first hand experience with this ya know. The "cave" that is.
Probably the cleanest backside you could get, you know what cats do periodically, sandpaper tongue too :laughing9:

Its freezing here, I should have left the computer on over night, would have been a degree or two warmer. Sitting on top of my heater at the moment. Time to do some audio editing before work. More coffee please (grumble grumble).

These are my speakers bobby. The Pioneer tower speakers (6 inch drivers) are rated at 185w (peak I assume). The technics say 100w (music), and the auditone 12 inch drivers I am not sure of, they are all 8 ohms (I think, ohms is not specified for the towers). Maybe just hook up the technics and auditones up in series when I get the PL? might be too much for the towers? although the towers still handle a fair bit and sound good for their size. Will need to get something decent like JBL monitor series, would like at least 12's, will have to start saving again after purchasing the amp off Lee.

Yes, playing those sound Fx's tripped my UPS, but probably not a good idea to let off explosions this time of the morning. Not firing up the amps until I get home this afternoon.

yes, unfortunately, you're going to have to seriously consider a speaker upgrade.
JBL L100, or 4311 monitors, would suit the 700, but they can be a tad expensive over here, ($500-$1000), not like in the US, where they go for half that, but there are other alternatives to keep an eye out for.
I'll give it some thought over the next couple of months, and when you're ready, you'll be able to make a more informed educated guess as what your options are.
(where there's a will, there's more than a 100 ways....)

'Derek', this is the sort of thing you'll end up owning one day....

Now THAT's a speaker! Indeed I will own one, lets just get this PL Series 1 700 first so I can blow up my old speakers, cant have them going to waste hey? How are you doing today George? Get a good sleep? Give those felines a pat for me, purr purr.

Just got home from work and unpacked the groceries, good for another couple of weeks, I have to back off on the Hungry Jacks or I will die of a massive heart attack (best to keep it at bay BEFORE I end up at the doctor's surgery). Its so hard not to eat the food when it is free! So it was fruit and other good stuff today, gotta try and stick to it.

Those JBL 4312a's would actually handle the power of a white oaked Phase Linear 700 series 1?

Yep, somethin' like them should keep you very happy for a long time, and well suited to 'big' amps.

Another shockin' nights sleep. It's such a bugger having these torn ligaments in my right shoulder.
I normally sleep on my right side, but have been trying to go to sleep on my left side.
Inevitably, during my sleep, I'll roll over back on my right side, and all heel breaks loose then. INSTANT wake-up, and in major distress. The pain just rips you a new one....
Anyway, only another 4-6 months of that, and things should be back to 'normal'.

Well, I'm up, and hunting for food.... (for all of us) :laughing9:
I don't know why everyone knocks Hungry Yacks and Mickey Dee's, and the like, 'coz if you opened one up, and stuck it on a plate, it's not too different than what people generally cook up anyway.
You have your salad, you have your meat, and you have your bread. So where's the difference?
I know they're easy to eat, and I think, in moderation, (and that's the key), one could live quite healthy on them things.
Anyway, just my thoughts....

Have a good one. ;)

Well as you know I'm in my mid 30's and smoke, something I would like to give up too but it has to be a rock solid thought, not a half assed effort or it won't happen, might as well get on top of it now and live long enough so I can enjoy some REAL audio. Time for a shower (I smell like a burger) Then fire up those amps for some ear candy (and warmth in the room). Will be lifting pallets all day tomorrow, its going to suck but a job is a job.

Look on the bright side. People pay a lot of money for memberships to Gyms etc, to get that sort of exercise, and you're being paid for it!
You should be grateful, and wot a better way to burn off some calories and get fit....

Good Point, yes I have thought of that, just not the Gym part. It should get easier as the weeks pass. First time was a killer, I came home and went straight to bed grumbly as f#@!. Re the blowing of speakers, I won't be doing that, I have a friend who is in need of the 12's and I shall donate them to him when the time comes. Time for some stretches, lifted a bit today too.
