The sun is trying hard to come out, but it can't break through the low cloud. Sometimes, it sucks to live in a rain forest. But, summertime is the ultimate season for me. If the sun does arrive, I have plans to take a ride into town with Geri in the old car and get the boat ready for a trip on the Sound.

The thing I love the most is the days start getting shorter, and I can look forward to the days when the heat and humidity disappear. That will be about 60 days from now. :laughing9:

Spring is still here for a couple more days, like the comedown after a bender. Spots of rain this morning.

My neighbor helped me fix the barbeque...

Here is my July 4th dinner!

Okay, we ain't gonna get it done...neither the Insert Image nor Manage Attachments routines are gonna work (they stop responding and take the page down).

That's at least day TWO of this for me.

Steven,

I had similar issues and had to change two settings in the User Control Panel to get me back up and running. Under the User Control Panel select:

General Settings

Go to the bottom of the page to:

Miscellaneous Options

I changed the setting in Message Editor Interface from:
Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
to:
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls

and then I changed Enhanced Attachment Uploading from:
Enhanced Attachment Uploading on
to:
Enhanced Attachment Uploading off

This is not my preference but it got me back up and posting and booby bombing so I'm happy. I have not attempted to see what's causing this and if I do find something I'll post it.

You may want to try this and see if fixes your issues.

Good luck - Nav

Tonight was our car club's regular monthly meeting at the A&W Restaurant - the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.. Summer meetings are best because most of our members show up with their cars at the meeting. After the meeting, I asked that we all meet at the end of Cleveland Avenue, our main street, for a photo shoot. We took up a couple lanes of Cleveland Avenue. Our club is having another batch of T-shirts made up to commemorate our big outdoor car show happening next month. Here's a few pictures I took tonight:

We will incorporate one of the photos into a design for our club's T-shirt.

Ah! Love this kind of fun! (although just five vehicles is a bit less...)

Minis as far as the eye can see. Miles, how often to you go out on such cruises?

This was during the "world record attempt" in 2008, and we finally made it to the official World Book Of Records with the longest row of driving Mini's ever! (3 miles long...)

Miles: You are an official world record holder... well, collectively as a group, but still worth being proud of. And I was correct in saying "Minis, as far as the eye can see."

As much as I like Minis, I bet none of the stock-motored Minis sound like this:

A Day At The Cove

Hi all,

This past Sunday we had a picnic at Porteau Cove, a provincial park about a 15 minute drive south of where we live. The campsite was full, including the walk-in campsites, which is typical for this time of the year. I have a favourite stretch of beach I like to spend time at. It's a bit of a walk from where most of the other people like to drop in and sit at the picnic benches to either enjoy the scenery or have a meal. I like to have a bit of privacy and a scenic backdrop for enjoying our meal. And as well, I knew the family who had once lived on the property some 35+ years ago, before it became a park.

We were having a picnic but also celebrating my step-daughter, Lorna's, graduation from Simon Fraser University, earning her a Bachelor Of Arts degree. There were six of us at the picnic: Geri, her two daughters, and Lillian's boyfriend, Tyson, and my oldest son, Matthew.

And having a little fun:

Thanks, Steven. It has been five years in the making. It's a long haul for university education, but the dividends will be worth the hard work.
