I want to bid or buy this Recorder.I missed before on the same type of deck but I need the member's opinion. The photos look dull and maybe that is on purpose. The seller states it got new Belts and Idler wheel. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271186344879...84.m1423.l2649
Contact the seller and get more photos sent to you; those photos don't look that bad (to me) but more is always better as they say and it isn't like it is a 50 buck deck we are talking about. If you have additional questions about the deck and want better pictures of the front of the transport, any seller worth their salt would be more than happy to respond to your requests in support of a potential deal. Looks very clean overall; a better picture of the heads and drive is certainly in order.

Good luck!

The images all look like crappy cell phone images. Ask him for images taken with a digital camera that are well lit and in focus. An image of the heads would be nice too. It might be a very nice deck, but the seller should do himself a favor and list ebay items with better images.

He obviously won't do it. I am backing out as I never made a bid, there must be something visibly wrong with the heads.

Did you give him 24 hours to respond? Some people are cut off from Ebay while at work or at life.

I just got a message from him through eBay messages. He wants me to send him my eMail address but ***###@@@ eBay won't let me so I tried to send it with AT instead of@ but eBay caught it and wouldn't send the message. I told him to substitute his Photos for better ones.

I just beat eBay's Message Machine! I used my user name and the type of eMail client I use! What a shame that a person has to resort to that kind of Shenanigans!

I am convinced that this man is stupid,it is not a language problem .He is downright stupid as I have written to him twice giving him all the clues to my address but he obviously can't figure it out.I am surprised that he has been fortunate enough to make a success of his selling endeavors.I can understand if he had a language problem but that is not the case,he just fails to understand concepts. Sometimes the stupidest people make a success in business. Look at the DONALD!

He may not want to contact you outside of ebay, as it is best to document all communications regarding a transaction. If he goes through all the trouble of taking extra images, then I am not sure why he wouldn't want to post them in his auction.

No he suggested sending images of the head via my email.Ebay wouldn't let me include my email in messages to him,so I gave him 2X my user name and eMail client and he still can't get it together. Please notice no one has bid or purchased at all!

More pictures can only tell so much, especially, those of the heads and tape path mechanism. The seller's price is not excessive. Unless I know the seller, I don't buy major purchases without hearing it first and going through a thorough testing of all operations. That will limit your choices, but perhaps it might be better to put a want ad out to members, expressing an interest in exactly what you want.

Are you a priest? You are wearing a Roman Collar unless you are kidding and pulling off that guy that was on Saturday Night Live.I forget his name but he actually appeared in the Vatican Square and was thrown out by the Swiss Guard when he admitted he wasn't a priest. Anyway you are correct but the members I am sure do not want to part with a Pioneer CTF-1250 that is in really great shape and has great heads ,transport etc. My choices would be really limited indeed.

I was given this avatar by my esteemed com padres on this forum. I am godly inasmuch as I idolize anything silver-faced with the Pioneer moniker. I was a bit upset after being overlooked for the new pope position, but I did make it as far as the second round, before they discovered I had once again successfully thwarted the Swiss Guard. Some of my brethren call me Father Guido Sarducci.

You can only try to place an ad, and you might be pleasantly surprised at the response(s) by someone who would like to see their Pioneer CT-F1250 go to a good home.

I don't have an Akai.
I had the ...M01 and M03 and I currently have a GX-636 and a tuner-integrated pair needing work...AT-K110 and AM-U110

Different amp but this is what the series models look like...I had a similar cassette deck as well.
