It is claimed to be the "definitive" vinyl set because of the super quiet material, half-speed mastering and original master tape sourcing.
It takes the right spinner/cartridge set-up to do it justice though.

I've never seen one of these sets auction so high on a SA or GW site before. I'm a little surprised at that.
On eBoy, the well kept ones can easily go for between $500 to $800, on average... and depending on the serial number.
You should see how much the sealed box ones go for now days. Unbelievable.

This set was originally released back 1982 in case you didn't know...

The one SACD that I shoulda, woulda coulda from Alison Krauss a few years back is long out of print now and fetching $200 for a single used SACD.

That MFSL boxed set from the Beatles is a collectors classic, very sought after. I have numerous Mofi CDs but no LPs. If the LPs are as good as the CDs, it will be a real treat.
