I took a low miles (67K at purchase, 28 years old) 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Deluxe sedan with a 235 cid Turbo-Thrift inline six and took it over 171K before trading it about two years later (WHY? The wagon was JUNK)?

I repeat myself.

Thanks for the offer FF, but I just put new tires on the Front wheel drive Chevy in October and the Caddie had new 16" tires a year ago.

I cried when the Porsche went over 100,000. Today it has 102,620. When I bought it in 2007 with 42,836 miles on it so most of the mileage is mine.
My aunt had one and rolled it, almost took her with it. You couldn't hear the cassette deck in the back seat at 130 mph anyway.

A few years ago I lived very close to work also, ate up mufflers, they never got hot enough to burn out the water ad would rust out from the inside.

I only drive 3.8 miles to and from work, but I drive it for a half an hour or maybe even an hour later on in the day so all of the moisture gets vaporized each day.
