Jer, I'd get me a ProTools card for my stuff BUT...

I just saw one in my eBay search emails and it's a $199 Buy It Now

Til then it's a Creative Audigy2 ZS here in my Dell.

Oh yeah.. for Lee... Just found this lil gem out there on the intertoobs... Bass Mekanic has a new album out called "Eastern Bass". The albums kinda "Shpongle'y".. A few good tunes so far, but this one here (Orient X-Press) I had to capture a spectrum analyzer to show ya. Yes.. the two left bars are 32hz.. and 16hz. The M-Audio ya got can probably do that too.

That was for reference but I have $22 and change left for the entire month after rent/food/utilities/2 mos personal debt after losing a wallet last month with over $430 in it. I'm caught up now but for Lee and stlll I have co-payments for medicine and doctor's visits that about eats that up. I'm flying this plane on regular unleaded not avgas.

430?? Ouch Steven!! That had to hurt ya there.. sorry to hear that.

Well, the offer of the Xonar for "check it out" purposes has been out there for awhile, but I think I'm going to keep that. The Xonar does best out the M-Audio in SQ for me, but only.. very .. slightly..

Got a PCI slot handy, Steven? If you do, what are the specs of the PC behind it? I'm thinking you may have a M-Audio coming your way as a gift (and a lil USB key chock full of good "flacs" to test it with). BUT.. only if you promise to hook it up to a real stereo to get the full benefit, and give the tunes sent an honest, good review here... no lil ole PC speakers.. it should come singing through some GOOD audio equipment, capice??? :thumbright:

As I've mentioned previously a FEW times, I use a Pioneer SX-D7000 with various combos, including KLH Six, Pioneer CS-A31/33-others, haven't touched those nasty Chinese buzzboxes in years...my Altec-Jensen Model Ones (Asynchronous A-100) were the first ones and even Minimus/Optimus-26s sounded great with the 7000 (and reside in MN with my niece).

Previous receivers and amps used include Harman Kardon 930, Pioneer SA-7500, QX-7?7 and 8000, JVC 4VR-5446, Sansui G-5700, Onkyo TX-2500 Mk II and DR-99...

and a Pioneer SK-350 boombox :thumbleft:

I have two Dell Dimensions at the moment, 2300 and 2350, the laptop Lee gave me is sorta croaked, works a little and awaits data recovery someday. I have two or three in the works from various motherboards and pieces parts Including whatever I put in the AOpen c.1990s server tower and a Gateway tower with somethng else in it.

Il Dua Capice. And Benny Goodman.
