At least you can service the timing chain. BMW decided to cast the front closed, so the pan and top have to come off- remove engine or drop subframe out... cheaper to buy a new car than do a timing chain and guides now.

As bad as replacing the timing belt on my Twin Turbo 3000GT... So much room that you need tiny little midget hands to get in there!
