Finishing up another Model ONE build for member @Blindsite.

The more I build and listen to these new amp's, the more impressed I become with the design and audio performance.

The combination of a separate aux power supply (separate from main output transformer), much improved main power supply with 1500 VA toriod, 60,000uF bulk storage, and redesigned audio control boards with both singled ended RCA and Balanced XLR inputs significantly improves upon the audio performance of the original Phase Linear design.

A few assembly pictures to outline the build sequence.

Thank you, Eric! I'm on the edge of my seat. My balanced preamp is all checked out, and I have new XLR cables ready to go. The suspense is killing me.

It will all be worth the wait.
I am listening to the Model One that I built as I type this.
You will be blown away !!!
Amazing amplifier :), and Eric's work is impeccable.

I'm a retired kinda guy.... I can't afford one being on a fixed income.

I'd have to sell all my gear and I can't do that. Starting over like I did 10 years ago is nearly unthinkable.
When I was in my 30s (1980s) I had a respectable bench setup and was performing discreet component repairs and circuit board replacements for my friends. I would have loved to to build a cutting edge "vintage style" power amp during those years. Into my 40s, I retired from the US Navy and other parts of life systematically pushed that interest/skill onto the back burner. I'll retire again, soon and won't be able to afford this without selling an insulator or two. I am exceedingly thankful for this group of enthusiasts, and engineers like Eric who very generously offer their time and increasingly rare skill for the benefit of all of us at every level in the audio hobby.
