I sent my Tuner out for alignment about a month ago and it is finished and on the way back to me. I did a recap and a cleanup before I shipped it, and between the recap and the alignment, she should be good to go. It was in great shape when I bought it and outside of changing to LED's for the face illumination, I didn't do much else. I did notice that it was having issues tuning in local channels but I managed to keep it tuned in (after screaming/yelling/taping the antenna to the wall etc...) but got fed up with the Tu-717's substandard performance so decided to ship it off and have a tuner guru align it. The front end had the tuning caps tightened (instead of tuned), and sensitivity/THD were not great but he got it all tweaked in and got the THD down to .008% and 12dBuV Sensitivity........... So it should be ready for another 30 years......................... I hope to see it next week, I'm excited.

I need to find a guy. My 719, waiting for me to fix the lower output in the matching AU, when tuned gets 3 readings for the station. The actual broadcast MHz heard over the air, the digital readout a few tenths off and the dial indicator, another few tenths off, probably the other direction. Nothing in the unit is singing the same song.

Had my Luxman T-110 aligned by an antennaguru who chose his place of residence because it is the best reception of radio waves in the US. Asked if he used the manual he said no as it’s pretty straightforward for him. Came back sounding great. But that was a decade ago. Need a new guy. Punker X is months backed up or more.

Glad you’re getting the 717 back any ready for the future. Hope you have something worth listening too.

I used PunkerX. He only had 1 unit ahead of me. Not backed up at all.
