Not sure of that Eric I don't see enough support for 8 heatsink fins in the back, have no idea why it does not support both entire sides rather than 2 small pads and the front has very little support. Area is your friend when you have broad support surfaces.

The sides are a mystery to me also. The front is just like I wanted it, nothing even close to the faceplate. We can certainly glue some more foam on the sides. What can we do for the back Joe>?

My opinion is there should be a U-shaped corrugated wrap around the heat sinks in the rear to provide a load spreader for those fins. Else they will just cut into the foam on that side under shock in that direction. The corrugated spines should be oriented length-wise in the direction of the amp width, perpendicular to the fin direction.

The front should have some additional foam blocking applied as well, greatly avoiding the 2 pot shaft locations and the sensitivity switch in the middle. Soft wrap material should be applied between that blocking and the faceplate.

The goal is to spread out high PSI loading areas against foam cushioning. The handles will bear that in the current condition and create a very high PSI condition that will flatten the foam in a shock that occurs in the front to back direction.

Well, just as predicted Joe. No damage, but definately need stiffer foam. Next trip is back to Eric, who will load the 2nd amp and send it to the cabbage case folks to redo it , with an actual amp to fit it.

Eric, do not ship the case in a box, the shipping goons can't use the handles that way. I appreciate what you were trying to do, but it's lot in life is to take the hits..

Glad it made the trip relatively undamaged.

I debated whether or not to place the case in an outer box due to not having a method for locking the case cover.

With an amp that weighs almost 60#, use of the case handles would be very helpful.

I chose to limit someone’s ability to open the case over use of the handles for this first shipment.
