Initial housing assembly:

Someone converted this amp back to 120V from 220V operation and butchered the wiring.

The terminal strip had multiple single strand shorts that explain blown fuses.

Man, that's pretty rough.

Updated configuration for AC and DC rail fuse wiring.

The intent was to keep AC Line and Neutral (Black & White) as close together as possible and separated from DC rail wiring (Green & Blue).

Also added service loops on all fuse holders to limit stress on solder joints when inserting fuses.

Yeah, I hate to see this kind of work.

It gives a bad rap to people that actually know how to correctly work on this equipment.

Agree, it appears someone tried to update this amp and gave up.

All fuses were blown and multiple output drivers were missing. Several remaining output drivers were also shorted.

Before completing the face plate assembly, I had to polish scratches out of one meter cover.

Lite application of toothpaste followed by Plexus cleaner\polish resulted in desired results.

It’s a shame wild Bob lost out to the bean counters.

I feel fortunate that his company made as many as they did for us to upgrade and work on 30-40 years later.

I’ll keep building as long as people have an interest… Assuming Joe continues supplying quality parts.
