what are you listening to?

something is gettin in there...
Yup, most probably. But your saying it only does it on that one frequency. If that's the strongest frequency, then perhaps there's a issue with the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) circuit. You may want to try a antenna with less gain to see if it changes.
Can't find your photo of the antenna you built, but I remember there were other elements mounted on the mast. Perhaps a emission there on the mast?

Today I fired up the WOPL 700b Time Machine and blew the dust off of a couple old favorites. I bought both of these albums shortly after they came out in 1970, and 1971 respectively. They were classics then, still amazing today. Both are very well engineered, with front and center soundstages. They put a smile on my face :D. The liner note for the Bull Angus Album says it all !!!! Play it loud. The soundstage on that album is especially well done, as they make note of with the guitars L/R.

Spirit
The Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus
EPIC – E 30267
1970 Gatefold – 1st Pressing

Bull Angus – Bull Angus

That Spirit is one of my favorites...

I too have that Bull Angus LP. And saw them live. They were between the headliner, Cactus and the warmup band, The Eagles.

There were maybe 20 people in the audience when The Eagles played but the place (smallish auditorium) filled up before Bull Angus came on.

I’ve heard of that Eagles band. How were they there?

Their first album had just come out and Peaceful, Easy Feeling was getting airplay. Not the style of music people going to that show wanted to hear. When The Eagles came on stage, whoever the front man was commented on the small number present and encouraged the paltry few in the audience to move in front, close to the stage - mentioning "having a party". Myself and a companion were already in that area. Someone, audience member or road crew, walked the perimeter and tossed rolled joints into the group.

They played OK and did not get booed but were too country for a blues rock concert. Witchy Woman was the nearest thing they played to hard rock.
For some reason though I got their album a day or two after that show. Never played it much except for Witchy Woman - probably why I bought it. That was not the first time I bought an LP because I liked one song.

Assemblage of Thrift Store Acquisitions

Today was spent listening to my Sansui AU-101 integrated amplifier before putting it up for consignment sale. I bought it perhaps 15 years ago for $15. The tech repaired it last week and for such a diminutively powered amplifier, it's a good one from 1973-1974.

Are you still consigning through Innovative Audio?

What became of Gord and his venture in the US?

Hi Gary: Yes, I am still selling gear through Innovative Audio. Gordon will be returning to Canada to help out with family. About three weeks ago he listed his house for sale in Denison, Iowa.

Sorry to hear that. I was hoping he could set up shop down here. The little Sansui is a nice one, btw.
