WOPL surprise this high end audio owner

Went out to Long Island friday to trade a MAC275 for a Duntech Sovereign speaker to a friend of a freiend , i took my WOPL 700 with me so i can audition the Duntech i have heard the Duntech few years ago and i love the power and authority of this speaker but my pocket was to small for this plus my wife would bring a fuss on with all them equipment in the living room , so now this my chance in getting this Duntech by trading a few equipment. We hook up the WOPL 700 to the Duntech this high end guy so shock wife came running out to see what was playing i should mention he had a pair of big SOLID STATE MAC on this Duntech now all kinna question start flying how come a old Phase Linear sound that good i explained to him this ain't the old Phase Linear you know this is the 21 century Phase Linear now he wanna know how he can get a WOPL SO THE TRADE IS ON HOLD i had to bring back all the MAC i took over to him i left them in the trunk of the car for now .

That sucks, now that he knows how good they can sound with the amp, he ain’t going to want to let them go. At least you know that the combo sounds good and can maybe find another pair ?

According to this article, back in 2001 the Duntech Sovereigns retailed for $12,950-$15K, "depending upon cabinet finish."

They sound interesting. Hopefully the deal can be salvaged...or duplicated elsewhere.

Ya outta hear the K's on a 700...the bass will vibrate your eyeballs ..
