To anyone who has had to mess with faceplate nuts on a pristine faceplate knows the frustration that can happen when getting a wrench on those nuts. What Joe has done with his new plates is machine a recess for the pots and switches, allowing the use of a socket without scratching the main plate area...what a blessing...thanks Joe..

Thanks Lee, that's called engineering :-)

Yes indeed!~!
It also makes up for the fact that with the full 3/16" thick faceplate in the area of the 2 volume pots, there is perhaps a half thread of nut engagement on the threaded section of the pot. This solves that problem as you can see in Lee's photo. Now you have threads protruding beyond the 3/8" nut.

It gives enough slack to even up the shaft lenghts by using an inner nut. The meter range switch is VERY shallow...

Love the silver bezels, silver rack handles with the black face...
Are those handles Perry made up. The one I got from him last time are not coated or anodized. I think I will paint them or powder coat metalic silver. The ones here in the photo were from Perry’s first run. They are silver with clear coat I think

want some shiny knobs Lee? I can send you the linkF23DBDDC-504E-4B75-99C0-DF1CEFFBB2F6.jpeg

Great work Lee. Start to finish. Wire dressing is awesome. Look with the 400 meters is unique in a very good way!
