Thanks, guys! No, not an itch, as I was very happy with the X-Type. Like with audio gear, cars come and go. Some I miss, some I wished would get totalled, but they never did.
Thanks to all! I spent most of my day scouting cars on C-list, and the list is now pared down to ten. Calling/looking today. At least, cold, snowy, end-of-the-year weather is good for a car shopper.

My mom's Buick got totaled at the beginning of the month and she went to a dealer and found a dark blue Toyota Avalon with five spoke 'racing' wheels and HEATED SEATS!
Ahhhhhhh. I hope I inherit that car, just so I can run the battery down...can't afford to drive it.

Avalons are way cool. Heated seats are cozy. The good Saab I owned for 69 glorious summer days, got totalled by a jerk in a Lincoln. The following winter, I was driving a POS Mitsubishi Mirage, freezing my ass off, and thought wistfully, "The Saab had heated seats...!"
My '69 Dart and '72 Duster weren't all that fun in winter, the Dart couldn't send the heat up the windshield so my windshield was Ice Station Zebra sometimes

Just like my '67 Valiant, I suppose. The heat riser did not work right, so the carb was always cold, so the engine stalled at every opportunity in the wintertime.
