Whether you liked his syle of music or not, you have to admit he'll be remembered as one of the all time greats. I have all his music (I think) and will miss him. I don't like this getting older crap.

RIP Tom.
I don't mind the getting older so much as the work that starts to remain unfinished and the yearning.

I took an awesome pic from the front row in Memphis several years back, Tom sitting on the edge of the stage holding a huge bouquet of roses... I'll see if I can scan and post when I get home.

He kicked ass.

This is going to sound familiar, but...

Unfortunately Tom’s body suffered from many serious ailments including emphysema, knee problems and most significantly a fractured hip.

He died from an accidental (read doctors just prescribed sh!t pell-mell from fentonyl to whatever) and it took him out.

Official autopsy results are in, that was the finding.

Touring for 53 dates cause the hip injury to progress to a full BREAK and that probably led to the overdose.

Optimistically you could say he worked himself to death so as not to disappoint the fans.

But the end of the tour could have waited, just like Bob Seger's has.
