Hey everyone....

Looking for a handheld police scanner. Something on the line of a Radio Shack Pro 95.

Anyone have anything they want to get rid of, not using?

Hit me up if ya got anything.

If interested I have a PL 400 wood case in pretty good condition for possible trade.

Mine doesn't move anywhere, like my phone. how do you know your services aren't moved to the newer frequencies freed up but the DTV channel cuts and consolidations?

The good old daze of hearing the police dispatcher and cars are going away but I was still getting one particular analog cordless while I was using it...rinnnng click...Spanish message...click and sometimes they'd answer.

Could've been anywhere in this town, wonder if they ever figured it out?

But you'll want to use that phone to call authorities while monitoring...

If a suspect shows up in your area...

or you have more to offer in information.

And I'd never rely on a phone network versus actual emergency channel traffic locally.

I usually use it to monitor emergency chatter around my place in Washington while I'm in BC. I can't scan my local stuff because it's encrypted/digital?
It works over the cell network and wifi. I just tried it, and the closest spot to where I'm presently at, is Creston,BC. That's a long way from Adams Lake (Kamloops/Chase). I can listen to Whatcom County, WA tho....
