A very happy Thanksgiving to all those here and their families!! I have a lot to be thankful for lately

After a week of pure hell at work...the only place worse than a grocery store this time of year, is an airport or a jail...so thanks that I have today off to spend with John and our Katie Girl, huge platters of munchies and margarita's for all the football festivities :occasion5::toothy7::occasion5:

All eyes are on the Cowboys, they better live up to the hype!! Expect some amazing football against the Redskins. And the Steelers/Colts game should rock as well, don't eat too much...if ya do, stick your finger down your throat and go back for more!!!!! :tongue4:

Happy Thanksgiving guys and hope you all have a safe and fun day with your families. It has been a good year but I sense that an even better year is in front of us. Lot's to be optimistic about lately.

Say a prayer of thanks for all our servicemen, police, firefighters and first responders that are under a lot of pressure these days.

Mom and I went to Boise and saw Dad and my uncle at the cemetery like I said then we got back to her place around 3 where my sister and her husband Marlin, their daughter and my other sister's daughter had the meal almost done. Marlin said he didn't know the packer's name but it was a different quality of turkey this year that he got from work (they went to Costco for them) and it came our really tender and moist this year.

I kept my blood glucose down well the whole time, ate well but did not skyrocket because I took my insulin just right and only needed a small amount as I only went from 226 to 385, which was good considering how everyone was worried it would go up badly. I did not spare the taters, turkey, stuffing or gravy, had three rolls and butter and some sparkling apple cider, nothing was 'sugar free' this year.

I took leftovers home and fed the cats some of the turkey with the canned food and after 6+ hours out Socks got all she wanted and was a lot happier than when I put her out this morning!
