Help Fish get into the 21st Century....

Wife is asking for a Smart phone/data plan to replace my flip phone. Never used one and totally ignorant of what to look for and what plans available. As usual I love doing things on the cheap. Anyone have any suggestions on phones and service contracts that may appeal to me? Have to admit if we get one my posted thumbnails would be better looking, the iPad camera is shit. Camera is one of the reasons wife wants one.

Get an actual standalone camera (digital)...it will save endless selfies and pictures of crap you won't have a clue about in ten years, if tomorrow.

Having to actually pay attention to it and if it's got good batteries, setting it properly...all means that you'll be using it for stuff that matters instead of just clogging your hard drive with endless stuff.

Phones take over your life anyway.

Fish, Lee's suggestions are top shelf picks if you're an "all in" kind of mobile phone user. No disputing the S7 and to a lesser degree, an iPhones camera will be good than you are used to. Those choices are pricey though.
Picking a phone can be a bit complicated though, depending on which service provider you roll with, your budget for monthly service and your budget for the device itself.

Unlocked Nexus phones, Moto phones and even some of the lesser known brands can be killer devices.

Just depends ... (and no, not the adult diaper...) ... on what you want to spend & what you're gonna do with it. Like most stuff.
