Thinking I may have problems here... on ohm test I am getting about 135.0 M ohm (keeps climbing) reading between chassis ground and transistor cases OL between buss ground from caps to transistor cases

135 meg Ohms, not exactly a short, I think you should be OK, but I am a newb, should let the other folks reply.

Nice job and keep the photos coming.

Is your one chassis ground we spoke of earlier floating and taped off? Cannot tell from your photo.

Are you sure your readings are not reversed? OL for the chassis test and 135M and climbing for the check between DC ground and the cases?

Yes ground wire is floating and taped and yes I know the difference between the buss bar and the chassis....

I hope we have not lost Ray as a member

Ray, if you see this... remember, the very people you are asking for help work real life jobs and can't alsways respond quickly

Hang in there, your amp will get done. All good things come with time and patience

the reason for asking is you should have some level of measurable continuity between the bus bar and the transistor cases. This is normal and expected since the transistor cases are the device collector and the collectors are attached directly to B+ and B-

the he cases should not have any continuity to chassis. Try slightly loosening the 2 hold down screws on each transistor and see if the connection goes open. That would indicate that one of the Sil pads was pierced

Broken beyond repair but highly affable
There is nothing wrong with attaching them, at least until the day we possibly get a more modern forums platform that does it inline and allows some placement, like XenForo...

PS I have a 931 GB internal SATA drive with hundreds of songs, videos, photos and text I've saved over 19 years and a lot of it duplicated...only 62 GB used.

First power up

re write and edit on this post

First power up with just backplane all checked out perfect then added the control board... all voltages taken with meter set to DC using the ground point on the control board I do not have the protection circuit board installed yet all readings are positive unless noted with a - these are neg readings

Going to add voltages according to doc to the right of actual voltages I have...

Left side terminal #

1 -.0007 should be... it is 0 not 0
2 0 should be... 0
3 -84.13 should be... +78 .... note I have a - voltage here
4 -.0061 should be... -.35 seems way off
5 0 should be... 0
PNP -.9171 should be... -1
6 -.0044 should be... 0 it is 0 not 0
7 84.50 should be... 78
8 -.0028 should be... +.35 note I have a neg reading here as well
9 .9376 should be... 1.0
10 .3506 should be... +19.4 seems quite off
11 84.34 should be... +78
12 -84.44 should be... -78
Bias .355 should be... .355
DC offset .0006 should be... 0.10??

Right channel
1 -0063 should be... 0 it is not 0
2 0 should be... 0
3 -84.13 should be... +78 note I have a neg reading here
4 -0061 should be... -.35 seems quite a bit off
5 0 should be... 0
PNP -.9171 should be... -1
6 -0044 should be... 0 it is not 0
7 84.50 should be... 78
8 .0028 should be... +.35 note on number 8 on this side I have pos reading but on #8 on other side I have a neg reading
9 .9376 should be... 1.0
10 .3506 should be... 19.4 seems way low
11 84.34 should be... +78
12 -84.44 should be... -78
Bias .355 should be... .355
DC offset .0037 should be... 0.10?

TP +15 = 15.235 TP -15 = -15.64 I think these are ok within tolerance

Edit.... it did pass dim bulb test on power up

That all looks good Joe??? Going by the guide sheet I was looking at for test voltages things were way off... I will go and edit the first post and put the voltages from the chart I was looking at... From an excel doc called PL14_20 RevE board voltages - Full Comp

All good Ray. Nice work.
