Funny, in all the radio reports, it was never once mentioned he was black, although they did dig up he was an army reservist....

I didn't see the footage of the shooter until this morning, so I gather it might not have been available.

I think that either ABC News Radio either runs the same newscast for several hours or many of their affiliates do, not aware of CBS stations practices, we have one here but I don't really listen to AM much other than our local oldies station. It's usually automated though at smaller stations I gather.

As I already mentioned, he did not help the cause he so valued. He made it worse. Every black in America needs to behave like proper citizens from now on, the police have the right to not only protect us but, themselves as well, and trust me folks, they are going to protect themselves!! I don't blame them for one second, someone looks 'not quite right, acting weird' ...

Dave, Chicago has the most strick gun laws in the USA, yet hundreds are killed every month. No getting around that, gun restrictions don't work, PERIOD! I'm not arguing with you bud, just making points!

2nd Amendment rights are for all of us decent folks. And they will not be taken away....EVER!!! My 76 year old mother, said yesterday, "They'll have to pry mine off from my cold dead fingers".

Yeah Craig, isn't it so ironic that whenever anyone - black idiots, white trash, or radical Islamic terrorists, doesn't matter really which - goes gonzo with an AR or other high powered rifle,
the CNN's of the world + the kooks on Capitol Hill go gonzo themselves with the coverage and all the calls for banning weapons

... yet black on black hand gun murders that occur with startling regularity in Illinois or other inner city population centers
get's absolutely ZERO national or MSM coverage.

By the way,
I'm never met the woman but I already LOVE your mother ! :happy2:

In the wake of a Black Lives Matter protest that turned deadly Thursday as
an ambush on police in Dallas, Texas left five officers dead, and seven
others critically wounded, video has emerged showing
protesters taunting police officers standing guard in front of a gas
station.

Oh ... and while this tragedy was still playing out ... a bunch of # black idiots matter thugs thought it a good idea to go on a looting sprees.

@realDonaldTrump

Prayers and condolences to all of the families who are so thoroughly devastated by
the horrors we are all watching take place in our country

They are very patient for the few idiots of the bunch. My guess is that alcohol plied that 'courage'. I think that the majority of the protesters are truly shocked about the shootings and have stepped back to breathe.

If I were a BLM supporter I would be shocked and feel like I had been betrayed by my own. Until somebody can prove this demonstration was rigged to provide an ambush, and it sounds like a surprise to everyone. Until then I can only figure that one or more people took advantage of the protest to take out cops who they held a general grudge against and who were doing their job PROPERLY.

And no Jer, I'm still having composing problems with the buttons after malware and virus scans, resetting the browser. I'll have to send Lee an email to forward.

Craig, there is no argument here regarding gun control - Chicago is a disaster WITH the strict gun control laws. My point is that we SHOULD arm ourselves for the inevitable, give yourself a chance! When the time comes I don't want to be sitting in a closet with a bat, lot of good that will do. If I were a cop I'd be drawing my gun for a traffic stop - if a perp does not respect the end of a muzzle he will have no respect for anything or anyone else. Strange how the political forums have turned against the law abiding citizens creating distrust and inequities. The easiest cry to rally is racism, the next is the haves and the haves not. When social classes start the rebellion there will be civil war.

You need to step up and get a more modern desktop Steven
No I don't. Valerie works correctly and I had it offline and unplugged for maybe three weeks. However, something happened today and seemingly when I when to reply to a certain post with a big circle and line. Coincidence maybe but short of unplugging the gateway long enough to make sure it's clear or resetting or rolling back Windows updates Valerie hasn't had yet (and I have hidden several that were related to upgrading to 10)...it's getting harder to tell what crap is what.

Still, I wanna know what is the artificial deal with Tony?

There is so much crap going on here lately and it needs to end.

It's definitely not like any of us have anything made for us. But this is an audio forums site. It's getting poisonous.

I laughed (no disrespect to the situation)_ about the Texas governor (or Dallas Mayor) calling the protesters hypocrites for running to the cops when the shooting started. I have to wholeheartedly agree. You can thumb your nose at the cops and yet expect them to protect you when one of your fellow BLM protesters starts shooting?

Radical # Idiot Lives Matter Jihadist
Micah Johnson
was an Army Reservist.

'The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter. He said he was upset about the recent police shootings of black suspects. He said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,' Dallas Police Chief David Brown revealed at a 7:30am press conference.
Around 11pm on Thursday, cops cornered Johnson at El Centro College and attempted to negotiate, but four hours later the talks failed and a robot was brought in to detonate a bomb and kill the suspect. This was after shots had rung out at a previously peaceful protest in downtown Dallas with demonstrators screaming and running for their lives as cops dropped dead one by one. Johnson reportedly wore body armor, which would suggest why a cop wasn't able to kill him when he confronted him in a one-on-one situation which was caught on camera. It resulted in the cop being executed. He also carried an SKS semi-automatic assault rifle and a handgun, and several rounds of ammunition, according to law enforcement sources.
A black SUV found at the scene of the shootings was listed as registered to Delphene Johnson, also of Mesquite, who is understood to be his mother. Police gathered at the address of Ms Johnson late Friday morning.

Personally, I hope they rolled in that robot and detonated the bomb he was carrying, intending to use on others.
That would be poetic justice.

I was unclear if it was a police explosive or a body bomb that the police electronically triggered?
The police clarified later that it was a robot they sent in, but I didn't understand if the bomb was his or a stun device they sent in. In the end he was shot.

I don't see the contradiction, Ron. The BLM protesters were not out to harm anybody in 99 percent of the cases and it appears that the shooter was completely unrelated to their protest. He used them as cover.

Some idiots showed up to bug cops after that but that wasn't ever the intent of any of the others in my opinion.

Dallas is a pretty violent town as it is, with all manners of crime...it's almost the Chicago of Texas.
