95-101F (the triples were here in my town), breaking records as far back as 1882 *and by 1 degree here.

Sunday is the 40th anniversary of the Teton Dam Collapse.

Major police car chase with driver trying to ram cop cars out of order, they crashed.

Major dairy products recall for local Meadow Gold products, listeria etc, pasteurization problems.

Whee!

It is a dry heat but, anything over 110F is down right nasty, when you get close to 120F like Phoenix, Yuma and Bullhead City hit, it's time to move somewhere else IMHO! I just got done watering the cactus garden and it's Hot already, sad when you have to water the native plants in your yard.

But it's a dry heat...... Like the inside of my oven!

I'm not sure what's worse, high 90's to 100's in the dry west or the mid to high 90's in the muggy, sticky, humid, sweltering Southeast. I feel like I set records for sweat output every time I mow the grass. Yuck!

The whole dry/humid argument is not valid, heat is heat.

Boiling is frying with water.

Keep yourself drinking water. This is what apparently happened to Richard Simmons yesterday.

It is valid, when it's dry (low humidity), you don't notice you are sweating, it drys up fast. All of a sudden yer desiccated like like a tater chip and you can see the salt on your skin. The sweat just evaporates too fast. very dangerous.

Yeah, but when they said yesterday that Richard was exhibiting 'bizarre behavior' when they called an ambulance, I had to say to myself that, "It's Richard Simmons, how can you tell"?

He's okay though.

R1200S, I lived in Dallas for many years and spent a lot of time in the southeast, I think I'd have to cut gills in my neck to breath if I went there now after 25 years out here in the desert. Plus, ML's Do Not like humidity, very bad for the panels, they soak up the moisture and sound like a wet towel is over them.

Steven, I wasn't aware that Richard Simmons was having issues, I always like him, self made man, loved helping fat people, very entertaining to watch.

Perry, we had it good for awhile here buddy... May was very mild for AZ...did you see that rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday?? Thank You Jesus!! :hello1:MONSOONS!!!!!!

Oh, I know that, I still pay for watching Denise Austin exercise every morning at 5:30 back in the 90s when I have to pick up coins from the floor :bigsmurf:

Yeah, I grew up in L.A. from the mid 60's to the late 70's. Lived up in Utah and Reno too. Reno's like living on a cracker. I know about dry. I've got around 30 years on each side of the country. I guess it's a toss up but that dry heat is more tolerable to me. I still can't figure how my nephew can live in the Phoenix area. I've been there in the Summers and it's like living on the face of the SUN!! :sunny:

I hear you about the ML panels. Went thru something similar with some first gen Magnaplanars back in the 80's that delaminated on me.

We are spared here for the moment. High yesterday 71, today will be 72 and low humidity and tomorrow near 80. Unfortunately by Friday and the weekend we will be low 90's and humid too. I just have to remember walking my dog this morning in the 52 degree temps.

Another note to Perry, have you studied where your amp shack is and how flooding may damage it? I have co-workers that live in your town and, ya'll get some serious rainfall in the monsoons, sometimes you can't get in or out. C

Yeah, we're all good. We don't have the problems that the canyons have. We've had this house for 6 years and not a single issue. Arrrrg, besides, I'm a sailor..... :)

And why in the hell is it so hard to get a loaf of bread I can afford?

Even the dollar store was out! I didn't get to the outlet store in time and all I found was a 50 cent 8 count plain hamburger bun package on clearance at the gas station.

I was out there for four hours, make it to both ends of town and NOTHING. I'm exhausted.

Whose survivalist army is buying all the bread???

It's expected to hit as high as 120F in Arizona today, make love to the ice in the fridge and listen to ZZ Top all day. :shaking:

The rescue groups are mostly volunteers, they don't get get paid for risking their lives to save idiots :violent1:
