There WAS a good working CT-F1250 sittting on TH classifieds, mine now...

by now is beyond me.

I know the seller, robert1946 and have bought new and used Maxell reel tapes from him before, he's a good guy.

(Old TH Classifieds links no longer work, the new ones are private to TH members only)

I've had some massive problems anyway browsing on TH today...if you are too Robert told me I can pass along his contact info.

He has dropped the price to $525 I did see and it has new belts and is in working order.

EDIT I gather TH is again up and working now but I see PS said it's not just them, it's the host.

There seems to be continuing problems with TH's server, as I just now discovered while trying to access the link to Robert's ad. This was a deck I had earlier been interested in, but because I already had a CT-F1250 and I had just purchased another component, I deferred purchasing it. The deck is in prime condition. I had purchased Robert's Pioneer CT-F1000 and Pioneer RT-1020L from him years ago, both in very nice cosmetic and operating condition, for a great price. It was great dealing with him and I can vouch for his integrity.

Nando, he mentioned that 1000 today when he emailed me...

IT'S GOING TO BE MINE!!!

Only the 950 to go...calling LEE...

Hey, I think I got all the parts to finish my new BIKE too! Just added the correct chainguard and a not all that correct but neato J.C. Higgins rack to the list, need to work the lenses and lights into the back. The paperboy baskets may be coming back to me from a project I finished a few years ago.

I'm not a cassette fan but I'd love to have one of these on my shelf.

I have that one, all I lack is the 950. I also have RT-707 and 909, had a chance years ago at a 1020 but at the time knew it would be out of my range (and the stock that day included a Perpetuum-Ebner PE 2020 with the factory packaging among other things, which two guys bid up to $130 faster than anyone else could think)...it was a great night for gear and I also had to pass on a quad turntable (JVC?) for a 7" reel JVC reel to reel, as that was about the extent of what I could afford, other than a rescue pair of Altec Model Threes that now have Altec Corona 10" and Jensen domes and I found the grilles and the one good Realistic woofer in one went into a two-way monitor made with a felt covered speaker box and Onkyo car tweeter with a built in crossover from surplus bought from Parts Express (25 cents each)! I still use that box too, the woofer was excellent and handles very rapid electronic kick drum sounds like a champ (KMFDM - Sucks).

That was my introduction into speaker brewing, and that same long gone auction also sold me my first antique radio. No auctions in town anymore, everyone has dollar bill disease and it Kills Auctions Dead.

Break it down and read it slowly. I got that already, there was a killer auction I could have gotten the other at had I enough but it had amazing stuff.

Sorry but I've already wasted almost two hours trying to figure out what the problems are with my internet and such tonight and didn't get anything else done...I'm not very happy.

Operating manual copied and a bound service manual, all the playback functions seem to work, take the speed up or down and the quartz lock goes off and then locks again when restored. haven't recorded yet.

Happy Birthday To Me! After three months it's finally here!

Robert1946 of TH comes through again, he's a swell guy.
