Thanks for the intro Craig. I am also a long time member of the Polk Audio forum, although I admit that I haven`t been active on there for a while.

A little history...I`ve been into audio since the early 70's and have been building/changing/upgrading since then and have owned all kinds of gear. (I`ll post a pic of my current setup later tonight).

So now it`s time to 'thin the herd' and I`m selling off a boatload of stuff,.....and yes, I have no doubt that I will regret this later, just as I regret selling my muscle cars in the 80's.

I to was a member of the Polk Audio Forum many years ago. It's was a place full of assholes IIRC, a few members there I would loved to have met in person to see just how much of a warrior they really were beside blathering behind a keyboard. Others seemed cool but did not seem comfortable speaking their minds for fear of getting flamed or derided for their choices or personal thoughts. I never had any problems there but I stopped frequenting the site because I was finding it increasingly hard not to comment to the assholes. Seemed fruitless aruing with a computer screen

Ummmm......sorry....but I didn't realize there were responses to this thread. Is there a way to get email warnings?

In any case, I've been kinda busy but some time has now freed up because snowmobile season is over (yeah, we got the white stuff over here).

Ok, so Craig suggested that I post pics of my mancave, or "pile" as somebody else reffered it as. So here is my "pile" in it's current state. There used to be a couple of Phase Linears at one time and 4 Bose 1801's at another. But I pretty much went with all SAE amps for power. On the left are the sources and some other stuff.

Joe

Ps...I figured out where to set up email alerts.

Oh yeah, USER CONTROL PANEL > EDIT GENERAL OPTIONS > Messaging and Notification settings and you'll find the way to subscribe there. Find the link to subscribed threads in that section as well to see your subscribed threads and delete or modify subscriptions. You need to set the default notification to daily or as they come if you want to see them fairly quickly.

Or you can always join the whole affair in progress.

That was my thought as well, when I showed the pics to John and he said "if you bring that much stuff in this house, I'm leaving". I said "Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!". Seriously Joe, sir, I bow to that awesome James B/SAE altar :happy2:

Please pop down to the amp forum and tell us about how that set up works (cables/magic dust...etc) with those killer speakers and subs. I think I'd pass out seeing all those big SAE meters bouncing all at once, let alone hearing them :occasion5:
