Hey Laz, are you close enough to give these a listen? That mid-range looks very awesome, I've not seen anything like that. Am I correct that these are small bookshelf's with a 8 inch woof?

That's a ribbon midrange and with a rear-firing tweeter I would think you wouldn't place them close to a wall, they are more of a design for an open space, sort of omnidirectional?

Anyway, Google them, AK, AA and others have some background on these uncommon speakers.

Yes, I'm close enough, and they're still listed, at least they were the last time I checked. I have too many speakers, I'm afraid I'll like them too much, and I don't want to pay that much. Tempting, though...

My friend brought out these old speakers from his parents' basement that are in pretty decent shape. On the back of the speaker it reads, "Dynawave Sawafuji America Corp, Model Tower 1, 105082, Impedance Rated Input 6 Ohms 20w/Max 100w"

The woofer is down firing and on the front of the speaker, there aren't the conventional tweeters- there are 2 plastic rectangle looking pieces.

Just wondering if anyone heard or seen anything like these.

Man, looks like you quoted a post from 2005, are you Erik?
