Amen Ron....after reading Miles' review it just occurred to me that after reading what critics have written about him for 40 or 50 years if he thought the same thing about them....

Fondler errrr... fan of all Nav's avatars
His first solo album from 1978 wasn't bad at all.
I won't call that "average"...
Never like that album or About Face. Never bothered with his other releases either. That's just my opinion though. I guarantee that had he not been in PF, he would never have seen a lot of success. The only reason why his solo albums got gold or higher certification is because PF fans buying them and then they sit on the pile rarely if ever played again. Roger Waters solo stuff is so much better

Sheila Jordan~ Portrait of Sheila(Blue Note/ 1962). 2013 Heavenly Sweetness pressing of a fantastic album! How I have never heard of this artist before is an absolute crime and look forward to acquiring more of her music. One of only two albums to feature vocalists during Alfred Lion's time at Blue Note. Kinda swingy, jazzy, bluesy- good stuff.
