Back in 1981, they were hard to give away. Hard to imagine the car was just under 20 years old then LOL!! I only grabbed it because it ran and was cheap. To be honest with you, it was not really a fast car at all but had plenty of torque

Thanks Nando. Yeah it was cool.. I still have the 32 Ford in my avatar. That pic was taken during Speed Week at Bonneville salt flats.
And I have my daily driver. A 1950 Plymouth Suburban wagon.

Robert. I saw one also in a 1965 Mustang (wheelwell to wheelwell) in Tony Nancy's shop in Sherman Oaks Calif. back in 1966.
Those motors made Hemi's look small. Also remember seeing Connie Kalitta's AA/FD Cammer run back in the day. It was probably at
Lions or Pamona or Irwindale or Fontana or Bakersfield or.......so many strips back then in California,

I don't think the Chain drive was to reliable,,I remember that the engine torque would put enough slop in the chain to throw the valve timing off and Puke the motor, later a gear drive was available,
FYI Mickey Thompson Developed Hemi heads to fit the SD and had Pontiac decided to stay in racing you could bet by mid year there would have been a few out there a year before Dodge re-intro'd them( a few of these engines still exist)Tony Nancy,,that name brings back memories

Big ugly and two doors, yup a Chrysler. I got her for $60 but she needed a new tranny. $50 and one afternoon later she was a frankenstein.

It was just a Buick Invicta with a gland issue... Wasn't that the sister to Dodge Lancer, or maybe the original Dart?

I'm VP of a 1219 lot Home Owners Association. We are having issues with a Director. Stripped him of his Executive position, he is subject of an Ethics Panel investigation and he has his puppets running interference on all Board goings on.

Next week, I'll go fishing at the cabin and am looking forward to that. I might even turn my stereo on today after I clean the gutters.

Chain drives can be pretty reliable, the Ford 427ci Cammer's seem to have survived pretty well (and are worth a bundle now)
