what are you listening to?

Sounds like some mid-70's Chicago.....I have a different idea of "funk" ....I just gotta find it....

Think mid-70's Motown....can't remember the names right now, but there was some funky stuff........

Fish, was Zevon's Lawyers, guns and money anything like Rick Derringer's??

G.E. is playing the black beauty. Not familiar with Johnny A either.

Thanks for clearing that up. I totally get now what you wrote about G.E. ... didn't at the time.

If there was a book or picture of "Where is G.E." instead of where is 'Waldo', I'd kill it every time.
G.E. has that ... face ... that is recognizable in a crowd. The Frankenstein brow.

I guess years of SNL does that to one's brain ... :laughing8:

Not at all. Zevon takes the Rick Derringer "Pop" out of it. Plays it hard, what you would expect.

And...yes it is getting loud here. Gail's out manning a friends garage sale, house to myself and lots of new tunes.

YOU'RE KIDDING! Suspiria had a ST album? That was one of the most bizarre movies I ever saw- and Italians really don't make great horror movies (IMO).

Say what?!

There were some incredible Giallo movies made in the 1970s with equally incredible scores.

Not ALL Italian horror flix are garbage.
I take offense ! :laughing8:

Mario Bava films are masterful.

Catch a buzz and watch the Karloff film 'Black Sabbath' some time.
The 'Drop of Water' short story component still creeps me out to this day.

I love that album. It's brilliant.

If you're into mixes, try mashing that one up with 'Animals' some time.
It works beautifully !

+1 here, too. Grew up on a steady diet of Argento, Fulci, Bava, Freda....

Shyea....great album so far. On disc 2 currently, one more to go.

None of these classroom phonos have accurate speed

Mine is pretty close, I did not hear a difference at all between them. I have it running into that huge Jensen cab w/ the rare 15" coaxial. Amp barely makes the Jensen sound but what comes out sounded pretty damn good. I was surprised. I measured the tracking weight and it went off my cartridge digital scale which goes to 5gr's so I won't be playing any good records on it. 45's I don't really care about so I would have no problem spinning those also
