Just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Perry and I got referred here by a guy in Ohio. Said you guys/gals were the experts when it comes to Phase Linears. I have a project to upgrade my Vintage System to a "New" Vintage system. I'm currently running an Onkyo system M504/P304/T9090 II tuner and I have an ambitious plan to find a pair of PL 700B's and do the WOPL work to them. Anyway, I am retired military with 4 years army and 16 Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician. I'm fair with a schematic, great with a soldering station. I am from Minnesota and lived in Arizona for a dozen years until my job took me to Huntsville Alabama, been here for a year and 2 weeks (keeping track because I don't like it here and can't wait to move back to Az). I've deployed to the sandbox several times and had to take a position out here to get off the road. Been married for 13 years (this time and another 13 years prior to that), kids are all grown and gone. Hope to retire in about 40 months. My other passion is riding my Harley's. I have a 2012 Street Glide and a 71 Shovelhead (which I have for sale to help with this new project. Enough about me, I'll peruse the forum and get some insight as to what the GURU's have done to get there 40 year old jewels up and running in top notch condition. Thanks for letting me yap and if you have questions/comments, don't hesitate to drop me a line....... I'll be working on my album as the week progresses to show the sets of speakers I built and a few of my pieces.

PS, I hope my sense of humor doesn't get me in trouble... I hate being serious. Life is waaaay too short. Too much gear, not enough time or money.......

Ron, what do you think of the M304 Pre??? Since my 700B's will have black faceplates, do you think the Pre will do the system justice?

Sorry I did not answer this sooner Perry. The P-304 is a great preamp but does not have loading options for LOMC carts. Does do MM/HOMC and MI very well. Very quiet preamp with nice looks
