Interest Check: Heil Air Motion Transformer (SOLD)

Maybe one of the members here wants or needs this. I found it at a garage sale (where I bought the Sumo Short Stack) and the diaphragm looks good. As I type this, it is running off the tweeter leads of the Energy speakers I am redoing (dead tweets). It sounds clear and bright, and that's the rub for me, as I like a softer-sounding tweeter. Make offer of cash or trade? PM, pls.

Lee, it's sold and packed up to go to JustMike. He's better qualified to work on it anyway. Besides, I don't think you have heard an Acoustat preamp - as I said in another thread: HOLY COW!

Still think about those Tempest Classics whenever I see one.

I'm going to leave this open for a few more days, but no one here seems interested. It will then be eBay'd, to make up for the Sumo letdown.

Of course I'm interested, but what are you asking? Does that dark doohicky on the front detract from anything? I have ideas in my head for it. You got a tuna and a tweet, I'm waiting to hear it there's anything left of the Midwest, Northeast and Oklahoma for stuff I already took care of...

Half the country is like an Irwin Allen film with way too good Sensurround.

What was the Sumo letdown again?
Sumo Short Stack (no power amp) letdown: grimy, dirty, non-functional to semi-functional components. Finding that the Heil tweet worked was a thrill because I knew it would make up for the rest.

Asking? A C-note. The "dark doohicky" is a wad of tar-like substance, and not a detriment to performance.

Ain't she tweet?
You see her walking down the street?
Well, I ask you very confidentially, ain't she tweet??

The other half of the country is like Ruby Rhood blathering away on Radio Cosmos...

There's still that tuna as well, and someday I'll get the Sony TT I bought last year before all hell broke loose at Ron's place. I keep making donations everywhere and I don't get the PBS DVD.

I mentioned a C-Note, but if anyone wants the tweet, don't hesitate to propose a reasonable offer of cash or trade.

I still need more info on the tweeter so I can look it up and figure things out. I don't expect it would be cheap anyway but I'm still quite serious and also need an idea of what you want for the Aurora tuner!

What are you asking, Dennis? I don't need more little round tweets, they breed like wabbits and I want a LEPUS.
