Well...I don't understand the numbers, I guess they don't really matter to me, but what are they saying? I surmise that they point to a transparent and quiet output?

Extremely transparent and quiet...

Frequency response is how well the pre can reproduce the frequencies in the graph linearally...with a given input what is the output at the sampled frequency....

THD & N is Total Harmonic Distortion Plus Noise...anything below .1% they say is inaudible...

The crosstalk is channel separation, and this figure is fucking nuts!!

SNR is Signal to Noise ratio in db, meaning the difference in db between residual noise and max output....this is the only spec that a WOPL has that is superior...

No....in every regard, by the numbers an outstanding pre-amp. The always important listening test tomorrow. Can't be up too late tonight, actually going to work tomorrow for a half a day to shoot some fluid levels on some of our wells. Got the new battery for the Well Analyzer today. See if I can ease back into work...

Yeah, a lot of windshield time tomorrow with maybe 20 minutes of actual physical labor...

Just got done with residual noise and DAYAM!!

20 MICROVOLTS?????
I like noise levels like that - inaudible. Since it has no phono section, do you not bother with vinyl or do you use an outboard pre with this Acurus? Maybe a different pre all together?

Could be wrong, but specs I recall were numbers published while using phono inputs. I guess since the proliferation of line level jobs, pre-amp noise floors dropped like a stone.

External, I use the Shure phono preamp which is a fine phono stage
