Patrick Sky - Songs That Made America Famous
(1973, Adelphi) Bell Sound RCK

a recent surprising 50cent clearance bin find. wow! It doesn't take long to see why this title did not go out on a major label.

Warning - explicit lyrics guaranteed to shock and offend and you might fall out of your chair laughing

Broken beyond repair but highly affable
Nashville and Chicago tied 1-all in the 1st period under 3 min.

While I'm doing stuff...have a lot of outdoor stuff.

Had the 6500 II pair going with Cat Stevens on UDXL I and Eye In The Sky on the Pioneer 8 track.

Maybe it was 4-2 but Chicago is gonna win unless God reaches down and pulls the Blackhawks goalie.

Nando, I hope you are either at or have the goodies for the Vancouver game...

A friend of mine has been telling me that the MOV pressings are really good, but this is the first one I've tried. I can't compare it to some of the fancier/pricier pressings of Night Beat that have come out on higher end audiophile labels and such like the 45 RPM version and all that. I wouldn't doubt some of those may be even better. But, on my rig this version sounds really nice to me. Now I'm curious about some of the other stuff MOV has put out.
Have a few MOV albums and they sound good to me. My Brubeck~ Time Out is an excellent pressing and would recommend it if you couldn't get an OP or 45 RPM version of it.

Good to know. One of the Amazon Marketplace sellers seems to have a lot of the MOV stuff at good prices. Especially useful for those things where the originals have gotten priced out of reach.

I loved this and listened to a couple more of his songs. It is amazing that our perception of todays conditions reflect what has been said in the past. Cool stuff!

I think Sky was on the Elektra label, I have his first record from the 60s which is a traditional folk blues recall, IIRC. It must have been interesting to see the reaction from Jac Holzman at Elektra when he heard the tapes for this. Recorded in '71, didn't get released until '73. Nice job rhyming Jackie Kennedy with LSD. :|

Nice one, Tony. I thought I might have one of the few who bought that release when it came out. "Tall Ships" made it to a few of my mix tapes out there.

Johnny Thunders : So Alone

Classic rock 'n' roll trash. Nice original pressing as well. Listening to this shit on a Friday night means I'm gonna drink a lot shortly.

I agree with Dave. I can't recall whether you had shown your Dual turntable before, but I'm sure you had, Dave. Have a fun evening playing some records!
